Biography

     ·         Partner with Garvey Schubert Barer for over 20 years; practice included: enterprise formation and governance, private equity placements, mergers and acquisitions, tax-exempt and other debt financings, joint ventures, and other commercial relationships and transactions; member of the firm’s litigation group beginning in 1982 before shifting to an advisory and transactional practice (in 1988), providing both litigation and business perspectives on clients' challenges and opportunities. 

       ·          Extensive involvement in a wide variety of community activities.  

        ·          Loss prevention partner for Garvey Schubert Barer's corporate and business practice, with primary responsibility for legal ethics issues in connection with the firm’s work in those practice areas

Multiple management positions within the firm.

     ·           J.D., cum laude, in 1982 from the University of Michigan Law School; Note Editor, Michigan Law Review.
